Combining my pre- and post-license experience, I have almost 10 years of experience treating adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples.
Treatment does not have to last forever. Working on specific treatment goals and outcomes, healing can occur at the patient's desired pace.
Psychotherapy can be a very supportive and emotionally healing experience. The relationship between a patient and a psychologist is special and is built on trust. The first step is to build a relationship of trust in which you feel secure and safe to share, explore, and process.
Trained in administering, scoring, and reporting on cognitive, academic, personality (objective and projective), behavioral, executive functioning (ADHD) aspects of an individual, I have several years of experience in assessing and diagnosing individuals ages 4 - 90.
Help & Support
It is important to provide a supportive, attuned presence to help my patients work through the struggles, problems, and difficulties that have brought them into treatment. I build a relationship of trust with my patients in order to help them feel the support and care I have for them. I believe that diligent exploration of a patient's negative emotions and problematic relationships leads to healing. Through the use of simple challenges, highlighting of interpersonal and emotional patterns, encouragement, and honest feedback, my objective is to help the patient feel the love and support needed to heal and change.
I am a generalist in treating the common reasons individuals seek psychotherapeutic services, including trauma, compulsive and addictive behaviors, sexuality, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, parenting, and spirituality issues.
